About the Hawaii Young Adult Ministry

The Hawaii District Young Adult Ministry (YAM) began as a gathering place for young people, ages 18-35 years old.  It provided a place for young people from various local churches to gather and share their joys, ideas, concerns, and suggestions for events and activities that help young adults grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

YAM aims to encourage young people to participate and be active in their church and community. We exist to help young
adults grow in their relationship with God.

As one of the most diverse ministries in the United Methodist Church, young adults range from high school graduates to college students, married with no children, married with children, divorced with no children, divorced with children, and single parent young adults.  The age and experience of YA’s is extremely diverse and so, YAM aims to be a place that welcomes all young adults, from all walks of life.

The goal of the district team is to provide events and activities for all young adults, and provide avenues for leaders to grow spiritually, physically, and mentally in the church.
